    2. National roaming charges to be lowered from July 1

      Roaming charges on any network across the country will now be significantly lowered by up to 57 percent than before with effect from July 1. By ruling out the long time debated ‘One Nation-Free Roaming’ which was proposed in the NTP 2012, the Telecom Regulatory Authority in India (TRAI) has directed all the operators to slash the tariffs on incoming as well as outgoing calls, as well as SMS charges while on roaming.
