1. Government of India is now giving some importance to rural areas of India. Indian Government has launched a new portal for India Development Gateway which would cater information related to rural livelihoods, including agriculture, primary education, health, rural energy and e-governance.The portal called has content in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, and Bengali, besides English.
