I thought this was old news, but apparently not: Reliance Entertainment has acquired Anirights Infomedia, an animation company based in Pune, reports Economic Times (via VC Circle); at TiE-ISB Connect, Rajesh Sawhney, President of Reliance Entertainment had mentioned Anirights as one of their content ventures (screencap of the slide). Anirights in based in Pune, and the acquisition is interesting in the context of Reliance Entertainment's gaming Jump Games setting up a game development centre in the same city; there's obvious synergy.
