Richard Branson has said that he'll be back in India in two to three months time to announce details of the Virgin Group's telecom venture in India. He refused to comment on who the deal is with, though it's an open secret that they've tied up with Tata Teleservices for a (reportedly) 50:50 joint venture. ET adds that the tie-up will be a branding and marketing deal, which will include the distribution of Virgin mobile handsets. Virgin has a mobile retail joint venture with Essar, called The Mobile Store.
