Asus announces MeMO Pad 7 to take on Acer’s Iconia B1 in low-end Android tablet war
Asus today announced the MeMOPad 7 to answer Acer’s Iconia B1 amid rumors that it is working on a refresh of the Nexus 7 with Google that would sport a 7-inch HD display. Like Acer, Asus has stripped down the hardware to make it possible to be priced competitively, opting for a Via single-core processor clocked at 1GHz while Acer opted for a 1.2GHz dual-core Mediatek processor.
